Bird –
This rag joint will work if you’re smart enough to add the required number of washers to space everything out correctly. It’s shaped nothing like the original Ranger rag joint. The original had raised bosses on the rubber disc on both sides, on opposite bolt holes.
I made it work, so hopefully it tightens the steering some with the new gearbox I also installed. It’s of decent quality corded-rubber, but does seem a little soft. Time will tell..
