I decided to build a small box,or mini shed for my generator. Had leftover wood and stuff from recent
Shed build. I designed it as I went. I built a base and 3 walls. I thought I would build the top so that I could
Just lift it right off the walls if I needed access from the top,but after I put the shingles on,it was pretty heavy. So I added some hinges, and decided to add the gas struts to help lift it and hold it up. A little
Research on the sizing of them was needed, but I chose these .directions are adequate, and I mounted the first one, and it wasn’t right. Remounted it and it worked!the second one was easy,I as mirrored the 1st.
They seem very well made and should hold up a long time. I recommend them!
JIll –
Purchased these to replace the old ones for our RV bed. They were rated for 100lbs. Our mattress is 70 lbs but after about a month they no longer hold the mattress up when getting to storage area. Very disappointed since they seem like they are made well.
