Perfect tool for maintaining or charging batteries. Easy set up, and display is excellent for showing status of battery. It recognized mine right away and knew the status. Nice compact size, easy to use.

This battery charger arrived just in time for me to test it on a dead battery in my car! I have two cars that I alternate driving, and one of them I had not driven in a week or so. The battery is getting pretty old in it, and after a week of sitting it was dead. I figured I would try the refresh function, and it seemed to work as described. The charger uses pulses of electricity to condition the battery. Since my battery was too dead to do anything, nothing was working. After turning the reconditioning function on and connecting the cables, I tried rolling down the power window of the car. It started moving slowly, and chattering. Like every pulse of electricity gave it enough juice to move the window a fraction of an inch. So I could tell the charger was indeed sending pulses of energy as it was described. After it conditioned the battery for a while, I switched it to the slowest charge setting and left it overnight. In the morning it was finished charging and the battery was full. Car started perfectly. The display is nice and clear, and the readouts are easy to understand. I like that it tells you how much energy is being sent to the battery as well as total amount of amp hours the battery has consumed from the charger.
My only complaints are the users manual is kind of poorly translated. It is better than some I have seen, but it was obviously not written or designed by a native English speaker. There is not much in the manual about the different functions. The cooling fan of the charger is pretty loud, even at low charging speeds. I had it set on the lowest setting and the fan was just blasting away at full speed. It did not really bother me since I hooked it up and went inside the house, but if you are going to be out in the garage with this hooked to your vehicle you might find the high speed fan on at all times a bit annoying. I also wish the power cord and battery cables were permanently attached. With them just plugging into the charger it increases the portability of the device, but also increases the odds I will lose a cable. I also wish the total amount of amp hours consumed by the battery remained visible once the charging was finished. When it is done, the display simply reads “full”. I would like to know how many amp hours it took to fill the battery though, so I can get an idea of the battery state of health. Maybe there is a way to see it with the function button, but I did not play with it and the users manual made no mention of it.
Overall I am happy with the charger and will continue to use it as needed. For the price I think it’s a pretty good value.
