I installed both sides to my 2001 viper gts acr glass trunklid hatch in less than 5 mins. Remove the clips to the original ones, pop off the 2 ends from their attachments and just pop these back on. No reason to remove the clips. The alarm attachment to the driver side latch slides like butter with the new one. I no longer have to worry about wacking my head as the glass came crashing down on it.

The media could not be loaded.
My baby Snake needed it’s rear hatch supports replaced. These “Tuff Supports” easily swapped out with the OEM Supports giving me a nice functioning hatch. My Snake is happy and no longer hits me on the head when I try to clean out the carpet in the back. Excellent replacement for $30 and 15 minutes of my time.

Super easy, and fast to install. Use a small flat blade screw driver. Even a cave man could do it. HAHAHA.
Perfect fit, on my 2001, GTS. TIP: Do the passenger side strut first, so you can remove the support that holds open the hatch, and then the drive side strut.
I had no problems what so ever transferring the,( door open sensor) to the new driver side strut. using a # T20.
Dodge viper GTS, 95- 02 owners, these struts are the ones you want.
** NOT the other one that their advertising, ” MAXPOW” for $34.49.** The (door open sensor) will not fit on the new strut. The MaxPow strut is thicker, than the original factory strut.

These work well for only about three years, but I’m OK with that. Very easy to install.Works well for the first three years but that’s OK. It’s lifting a pretty heavy glass on my Viper.
