Indy DT –
These clips are made of steel painted with some cheap paint and insulated handles. However, the alligator clip ends are made of copper and there is a copper bus bar that connects to the cable attachment points. Overall, these clips are functional and they should perform well over time.
Indy DT –
These appear to be good quality copper clamps, however the ring terminals are much smaller than indicated in the product photos. The product photos indicate a 1/2″ opening, however it’s actually about 3/16″. I was expecting ring terminals that would accommodate a much larger wire gauge. The ring terminals are also very thin copper. The listing does not include the appropriate wire size, so the chances of an included ring terminal being the perfect size was low. The included one is just not likely to be useful for most users. Then again, if you’re looking to use 10 – 12 awg wire, this may be just right for you.
