I have a 2004 Lexus GX 470 that I purchased new, and I compared this gas cap to the original one that came with the vehicle. It looks and feels identical, and screws right onto the gas filler stem like the original. My original one has never given me any issues but it does have a couple rubbler gaskets that make sure it seals properly when it’s closed. Rubber doesn’t last forever and having this new one around just in case , is good insurance.
