Fits AirTags perfectly and the magnets work well for mounting. Durable and simple: no complaints.

These are nice, reasonably durable, simple AirTag holders with a large magnet on the back. Instead of a more common o-ring style seal, these used flat rubber disc. Instead of a more common thread, these used a bayonet with about 1/4 turn to lock. They are ABS, and in making them ratable for IPX8 (1 meter water submersion for at least 1 hour), they are a bit large. The AirTag fits in nicely.
Overall, not bad, I like them. But, I’m docking them 1 star because they compete directly with the Elevation Lab TagVault. While they are slightly cheaper, they fall short in a number of ways:
– Large ABS vs a lower profile carbon filled Nylon material, which is stronger
– IPX8 vs IP68 ingress protection, the TagVault has a dust rating these do not
– TagVault has a larger Neodymium (rare earth) magnet. These magnets are smaller, and are simply called “ultra strong” – we can conclude they are most likely simply large Ferrite magnets, which will not have the same holding strength.
– Bayonet mount vs threads – I’m not sure one is inherently better than the other, but in this situation, I prefer the threads as implemented on TagVault, they have a more secure feel to them.
I would give this 5 stars if they were significantly cheaper, and don’t competing directly with TagVault on price.

Nothing too complicated about this, but it does the job perfectly! Airtag fits snugly and the case easily opens and closes. The sides align perfectly when you close the case, so you know it’s secure. The magnet feels super strong, so I have no concern about it falling off during bumpy roads!

So I leave an AirTag in my car just so I can track if it something happens to my car, i.e. it getting stolen. But the AirTag is always just flailing around wherever I place it. Getting these, I’m able to hide it somewhere inside the car that has metal so that it’s camouflaged. The magnet is strong enough where it doesn’t move around but not too strong where you feel like your finger is going to be smashed between the magnet and the metal. Overall, very great purchase as I’m also able to use this when I travel and attach it to the inside part of the luggage where the metal handles run down the interior.
