This product is mostly about the batteries themselves as that’s what you’re looking to replace. Well, you can get quality CR2032 batteries for a fraction of the price of this kit. But what you’re paying for here is the convenience of not having to track down a jewelry screwdriver small enough to work with your fob, and not damaging your fob because you have the same type of plastic pry tool that any dealership or auto repair shop would have on hand for trim work. and in this sense, this kit is a good option because it has everything you need to do the job correctly and quickly, no muss no fuss.

I’ve bought these before for my other vehicles and it’s very handy getting not only fresh batteries (one for now, one for later or a second fob) but the little tools to get the fob apart to do the replacement. (Not all fobs necessarily need them; my fob didn’t.) There is a QR code to scan with your phone that opens a website that has how-to videos; you just have to select the fob you have and touch the ‘play’ icon. The videos are sharp and clear and the person doing the task speaks perfect English as he explains how to do it. The batteries indicate that they are Panasonic and hopefully they are, because fake batteries are everywhere. They do indicate they’re made in Indonesia which IMO is better than the typical ‘made in China’ and the package says to use by 2034 so you’ve got ten whole years to use them. The batteries are a bear to get out of the package, though!

Got these for mine and my wife’s keyfobs for Ford F150. They don’t fit that, but… they do work great in computer motherboards to replace a dead cmos battery. Or if you buy one from overseas and it won’t ship with the battery, you can use these.

My key fob only worked if I was standing literally 3 ft from the car. That pretty much made the remote useless. I got this kit and popped in the new battery. It took about 2 minutes total. Now I can be in the kitchen, lock the car doors, turn it on without going outside. The battery was a perfect fit!

OK if you are in it for the price there is nothing special about these batteries that justifies the extra cost comparative to a 4 or 5 pack of the brand names. I picked this up as more of a “just in case” type situation because it does come with two batteries, a small flathead, a small phillips, and a little plastic separator tool so you don’t stab yourself or scratch up what you are trying to pry open. Everything was packaged nicely in a small zip top bag so I put this in my grandmother’s glovebox in case her keyfob stops working again (I am assuming buttons getting smashed in her purse but her fobs may just be eating the batteries). So are these super batteries to justify the high price, no but they were thoughtful enough to provide the pieces and parts for you to change out a fob battery in a random parking lot. The back of the package has a QR code that takes you to a web page with nothing but videos of how to change car fob batteries with pictures of each fob as well as the make/model of car so you can scroll through and find the one that looks like yours. They aren’t youtube videos so there is no advertisements or anything but just direct play couple minute videos showing the step by step for that particular keyfob. So basically the extra price is just something for the amenities that come with the overpriced batteries themselves.
