I’m redesigning the dash in my bass boat and plus I needed to replace my old lighter socket with a new one due to the old one being rusty and no longer working. This 2 pack,12V socket set will provide me the versatility I need to fill the spot where my old one came out of as well as the new spot I’m making in the dash.
These sockets come with everything you’ll need to either replace your old socket or for a new installation. Both have wiring with terminals on both ends and also have inline fuse protection as well. The socket is very easy to install, just place it into the hole where the old socket came out of or drill a new 1-inch hole and snap it into place. You can either wire it directly to a 12V power source to always be on or to a 12V source that works only when your vehicle is on. The sockets have a flip up cover which will help keep dirt and water out of them.
The base inside of the lighter is made of ceramic which speaks well of the quality of the outlets. Many times, sockets such as this have plastic inside which will not hold up as long as the ceramic will. Also, it’s possible to use these as a lighter because the ceramic will not melt like plastic would. I did not have a lighter to test this feature but according to the seller, you can use them as such, and it looks like they will work in that respect. Also, another good feature is the base where you install the positive, 12V wire has a screw terminal which will make for a very secure connection of the wire. I’ve seen other outlets such as this that only have a push on terminal which is molded into the base and tends to get loose and come apart over time. Both features mentioned here suggest a well-made and well-thought-out product!
This product also serves as a good, 12V plug in power source for other things such as lights, chargers or just about anything which uses 12V power. Anywhere you have a 12V power source, whether it be a car, camper, UTV, etc., you need to have one of these sockets for power access. And the sockets themselves hold whatever is plugged in to them very tightly, ensuring a good connection.
This is a very good choice if you’re needing to replace an old lighter or adding a new one where a 12V power source is needed. I highly recommend this!

Socket is very solid, wires are good, spade and ring terminal are nice. Power plugs hold firm, and there’s even an inner clip to power an actual cigarette lighter. Cap feels cheap, but it’s not critical to operation.

I tested these with my trusty old iron battery charger. When I plugged in a car USB adapter, the USB worked fine. I’m planning to use them as power delivery for a small solar panel / battery / controller combination I am building, to power a small inverter and some USB, for power outages and etc.

The YIWOFUWO 2 Pack Car Cigarette Lighter Sockets are good quality sockets with weatherproof covers. The covers are tight fitting and swivel open and stay open, which makes it easy to plug into them without a spring operated cover snapping shut. The center contact is mounted on a porcelain base, not plastic, so you can use it as a cigarette lighter socket.
The wiring for it is pretty thin and the glass fuse might be hard to find if the one supplied fails. I’ll replace it using an inline automotive two pin fuse holder, and go up a wire size or two. Other than that it’s a well made pair of sockets and the dimensions are as stated.
They’re good sockets for the price, but the wiring is so so. I debated on the rating for this product and if I could I’d give the sockets a five star rating and the wiring a three, so four stars seemed appropriate.

These 12V power sockets are a practical addition for vehicles, boats, motorcycles, and off-grid setups. If you miss the old-style car cigarette lighter and want to add one, these sockets can upgrade your vehicle. Installation is straightforward—drill a 1-inch hole, snap the socket into place, and connect the included wiring. The pre-installed fuse provides basic protection, though upgrading to a thicker gauge wire is good for higher-power applications. I still advocate for a 14ga wire and a 10A fuse, which is how it was done many years ago.
The labeling on the cover is deceptive and confusing. 120watts AT 12V. 240watts AT 24V. So, don’t think you can tap 240 watts at 12v. It has a 10-amp fuse, and the math says Watts = Volts x Amps.
While the included wiring is functional, it has no size or other rating. Loose ONE star. That is a red flag for me. Devices drawing close to the 10-amp limit in a vehicle need a minimum 14ga wire. Upgrading to a thicker wire would be a wise precaution if you run high-powered equipment for an extended time. Additionally, these sockets may not be a direct swap for factory-installed ports, so minor reworking and rewiring could be needed.
The bi-metal clip at the bottom of the socket allows it to be used as a traditional car cigarette lighter. The ceramic disc at the base reassures me that it is safe for resistive heating elements. However, not all cigarette lighter elements are universal, so you may need to shop around to find one that fits properly.
For those using this primarily as a power source, it securely holds 12V plugs and works well for running USB adapters, chargers, or other small accessories. The flip-up cover helps keep out dirt and moisture, though long-term exposure to the elements may eventually cause wear.
This set is a good choice for anyone looking to add or replace a 12V socket in their setup. It provides a firm connection, supports various adapters, and is useful in various applications.

I got these for my powerboat upgrade. I don’t use these things for cigarettes, I use them to plug in USB inserts so I can charge phones and run other 12v DC appliances.
These are decently made, I like that they come with covers, and they also have the positive and negative wires to hook them up. And the price is good.
