Decent re-conditioner for a baseball glove. It’s a very light consistency, so definitely not meant for new gloves. I prefer the thicker oil products for breaking in a glove. But for a used mitt, it’s good to use a lotion like this to keep the leather hydrated once or twice a year.
I simply scrubbed the glove thoroughly, let dry, and then worked the conditioner in a little at a time. The sponge is no good for my purposes. Instead I prefer an old rag to scoop fingertip amounts and apply evenly all over. I’ll finally place a couple baseballs inside and wrap the glove to maintain its form, and let it set overnight. I like to do this process at least twice to ensure the moisture really sets in.

This is pretty decent leather conditioner. They market it for footballs but you could use it on other leather products as well. I like that it doesn’t have a strong odor, or really any odor at all. I tried it on a football but also on some shoes, and it worked well on both. One thing I found odd, though, was that the containers were not sealed. They are a screw top, and there was no inner seal. The product says use within 6 months of opening or two years if unopened. But without a seal, I’m not sure how long it’ll last. I guess we’ll see.

I ordered the Calvana (2-Pack) 5.3 oz Leather Football Preparation Conditioner Kit for my leather cleaning and restoring needs outside of those involving a football. I bought this conditioner owing to the last line in the last bullet point in the product description –”It’s a premium solution for all your leather needs.”
I first used the Calvana cleaner/conditioner on my three-year old pair of work boots. I first cleaned them (for the first time) using a damp microfiber cloth and a bit of Murphy’s oil soap. The cleaning sponge is nice, but I prefer using microfiber cleaning cloths. I applied the Calvana crème and watched the leather come back to life. The creme spreads like an expensive body lotion. I was amazed at how easy it was to apply. It did not alter the matte finish of my boots. The end result was great – the leather was more supple and looked refreshed.
I tried the Calvana creme on my leather wallet, my leather desk pad, and my leather telephone case. The results were the same with all of these distinctly different leather finished items. The Calvana crème lives up to the title line of the last bullet point of the description/marketing page –” Works for All Leather Types.”

I put some of this on one of my holsters, and it made it kind of sticky at first, as compared to saddle soap that I usually use. It’s more like a skin lotion consistency than a polish or conditioner. Other leather conditioners I’ve used are thicker. This does work okay, it just seems like it won’t last as long being so thin and liquidy. It comes with a polishing pad which is nice so you don’t have to use a rag of your own. It also comes with two containers. It says football preparation conditioner on the label, and that it extends a life of a leather football, but I believe it would work for varius other leather products. Directions are pretty non existent unless you read it online.
