Would have been good if all the parts made it. They may have been OEM, but not authorized Husqvarna parts (missing new bolts/ manufacture packaging, etc). They shipped 2 x 7 pound parts with sharp edges in a thin oversized cardboard box with no packing material. Box was very damaged on arrival with clear tape sealing all of the holes. 1 x part was intact, the other missing a bearing set. I was hoping they would just send the missing bearings, but they wanted me to return all instead. What a waste of time and money. Whoever packed the to 2 x 7lb parts with lots of sharp edges and no packing is costing their boss a lot of money. It was otherwise a solid product and I would have been happy keeping if they sent the missing part. The product was spot on, just what I needed. Price of doing business with Amazon I guess. Also their shipping was very slow, a couple of weeks. They charged me 112$ for 2 x mandrels, to reorder is now 120$. Authorized Husqvarna mandrals with bolts are 65$/ea from local dealer. So no deal here.

These were bought as spares for my Husquarvana zero turn. I had replaced one in June 2022 from the set of 2 I purchased at that time and had to replace another one of the 3 spindles in Sept 2023. So I like to keep spares on hand. Note that these seem to come UNGREASED. I don’t think I greased the original spindles when I bought the unit several years ago. Not surprising that they failed. The original failed ones did not have a drop of grease in them after I pulled them. I DID grease all 3 in June 2022 when I did my first replacement. Also note that the unit mounts are untapped and Husky uses self-threading bolts. Best to buy a set when you replace them as the threads that protrude out of the bottom of the spindle get gummed and dinged up and re-using them is iffy. I re-threaded one bolt and tapped its hole to reuse one that looked a little worn and it seems to hold ok. These are 5/16-18 flange bolts so you COULD tap the 4 holes and use a common bolt instead of paying for the self-threading bolts which are on the expensive side. Depends on you handy you are. Otherwise, pretty easy repair and you don’t have to drop the deck to do it. Just jack the unit up, put a clamp on the pulley to keep it from turning and remove the spindle nut to get access to the mounting bolts. Drop the old spindle out of the bottom of the deck, mount the old blade on the new spindle, slide new spindle into the mounting hole from below and tighten everything down. Easy-peasy.
