The original plug on the left was used for STL (Speed Tech Lighting) light bar which is on my vehicle when I’m on a construction site. These light bars can draw a lot of power, especially when directional light is used (left to right or right to left). I’ve melted 2 plug in adapters already and blown the fuse (internally) and also on my vehicles plug in adapter in the past.
The package for the new replacement said heavy duty but to be honest, it looks almost exactly like the one it replaced.
During use, after having the light bar on for an hour, it was cool to the touch. I avoid using directional unless it’s absolutely necessary.
I also purchased some male connectors which can allow me to swap out the plug in, just in case I fry this one.
The package contained 2 plug ins so now I have a spare.
Overall, I’m pretty happy with the part. It fits in the socket pretty well and doesn’t feel loose, which hopefully will increase the performance, and reduce the chance of heating up due poor contact.
If you have a high drain device such as a light bar, I would recommend these because if you need to, you can unplug it from the wiring harness and swap it out with a new one (that has same connector).
I use this on a 2018 Jeep Renegade with;

The wiring kit I used to make this a quick disconnect is 22-16 AWG assorted Insulated bullet butt wire crimp connectors kit (dark blue). Way more connectors than you’ll ever need but nice to have.

I used this in my van build 2 years ago. My 2 vent fans that draw about 20w each are connected to one plug. That plug goes into my solar battery. The product is well made and the wires are easy to connect. Overall very good product.
