Pump housing is not attached to the main pump, just fold over.

I used this fuel pump on a 14 hp Kohler garden tractor engine as a replacement for the original mechanical diaphragm style pump -it works well and was easy to install.

Seems to function properly but noisy. Sounds like an engine with a rod knock.

This is on a Holley equipped vehicle, have no problems. I put a rubber cushion under the unit and it pretty darn quiet.
