This pump is used to transfer diesel from a storage tank to a diesel heater. The pump works very well; it is quiet and has sufficient net suction. The wiring connectors leave much to be desired. When I receive the item, one of the alligator clamps had broken off during transit. Closely inspecting the alligator clamps reveals that they are inexpensive clamps with shrink tube placed on them as finger grips. The pump wiring is intended to allow you to use either the alligator clamps connected to a battery or a cigarette lighter connected to a cigarette lighter supply inside the vehicle. The pump wiring terminates with two ends that have a section of the insulation removed. Electrical butt or spade connectors should have been used. I am pleased with the pump, but with the effort to add higher quality alligator clamps, and electrical connectors, I could have found a similarly priced pumping system that did not require such modification.

Great product comes with everything you need to get going, including wiring and 12v adapter, also hose fittings. This thing pumps oil like a beast. Says it’s on its third generation so I’m not worried about having problems. The size is another plus, it’s not huge at all.

I buy boats to ffix and resell. Most of the ones I get have been sitting for a number of years and the fuel in the tanks is bad. I am using this pump to pull the old fuel out of the tanks so I can make sure the boat runs good with fresh fuel. I have just used this on 2 boatts I am working on and it works great for pulling the old fuel out. I can get more of it out with this than with the battery operated pumps I had been using. I am also planning to use this to transfer fuel for my generator and yard equipment. Just what I needed.

The Alaygo store 12VDC gas transfer pump uses a brushless 12VDC motor and is rated at 125 G/H. This transfer pump can be used with low viscosity oils, gas , diesel and water. It has a strong suction and is rated for at least 6.5’ of lift depending on whats being pumped. The unit comes with two power cords , one with a standard cigar lighter plug and the other with alagator clips, both has on/off switches integrated into the power cords ! The transfer pump is well built and measures about 5.25 x 2.50 “ and has an integrated bracket on each side. During the initial test I used water and the current draw was aboutn 0.8A , very quiet and exceeded the 125 G/H spec. It will decrease somewhat with the viscosity of what is being pumped. There is a small filter that was also enclosed and the company highly recommends that you use a filter in the input side of the pump.
Considering the quality and overall capability of the pump, and it uses a more expensive brushless motor , a 5 star rating is warranted

Purchased to permanently install in my engine room to use for transferring diesel fuel from one tank to another for weight and balance purposes. Nice size, 125 gph advertised capacity is adequate for what I need to do. It comes with two power wires, both with factory installed on/off switches, one with a standard cigarette lighter plug in, and one with battery clamps to temporarily attach to a battery.
I appreciate the dual purpose wiring harnesses, but I am going to use a slightly higher capacity, as the wire that came with the pump, (I think 16 ga) seems a little undersized. I’m going to use at least 14 ga, and I’ll provide a fuse as well as a permanently mounted power switch. The tubing nozzles could stand to be a bit longer if used in a marine application, as fuel lines/transfer pumps, etc should be double clamped with hose clamped, and there isn’t a lot of room to fasten on two hose clamps at each of the two connections. No mention is made of duty cycle, but since the company advertises 125 gallons/hour, I would assume they it will run for at least one hour before having to cool down, else they never could have come up with the rating. I’ll have a better idea once I get it installed. I’ll update this review after that

My husband & I have an 18ft boat with a Yamaha 115hp motor. Unfortunately, we don’t get to use it as often as we would like, & have a smaller flat bottom boat that works better in the spring fed rivers near us here in FL. We want to start using the bigger boat more, & took it out to a lake near us to run it recently. It ran great, until the very end. We knew it still had dome older gas in it, but it had additive to make it last longer, & we thought it was ok. Apparently not. When we got home, my husband pulled the spark plugs & you could smell the stale gas. My husband needed to get it out of the boat completely before adding new gas. Unfortunately, draining gas from a boat like this is easier said than done. You can’t just funnel it out like in a vehicle. This pump was out answer. We connected the pump to the hose that feeds from the tank through the fuel filter & pumped it right into gas cans.
It came in a small box, with the pump & 2 different methods of powering it. It had clamps to attach it to a battery for power, & it also came with an attachment for a car charger port.
Both were unattached, so you need to splice in the wires of the method you want to use. That’s not a problem at all & was easy.
The one issue, & reason I removed a star, was because of the welds that attached both the clamps to the wires. One clamp was already disconnected from the wires when we opened the box, the weld had broken. My hubby fixed that one by removing some of the wire casing & really wrapping the wires into the clamp well. After fixing that one, & starting up the pump, he found the other side, positive, wasn’t able to provide power. It was also due the the small, finicky weld. He just did the same repair to that side & both worked well afterwards.
The pump works quickly & efficient. It has a convenient on/ off switch as well. The wires are long, allowing you to receive power from a good distance away.
After removing 15+ gallons of gas very quickly, my hubby went to get new gas to run back through the motor. When he got back, he said instead of holding the gas can up high, heavy & your arms get tied, to add fuel back into the boat, he just reversed the pump. He plopped the hose into the new gas & pumped it right back into the tank. Easy.
It’s reasonable priced, in line with other pumps like this.
My husband said this pump made his life loads easier. Other than the wire issues, the pump is well made. It feels durable & we expect it to last a long time.
