Restoring an old car and wanted a pump to help drain the fuel tank. The tygon tubing I bought prevented success in reaching the old fuel, but I tried the pump on siphoning fuel from the fuel bowl and it worked well. The pump was self priming even with 3 feet of dry hose. That’s good in my opinion.
Standard tygon tubing from the big box hardware store worked well and the fittings tightened down securely. The only complaint is the cigarette lighter attachment. It would have been more consistent to just have either the cigarette lighter or the +/- clamps plug directly into the pump and not putting the adapter for the the clamps into a cigarette lighter socket (see the product photo if not clear). The pump shut off a few times because of a bad connection because of the socket However, the pump worked well when I got it running again. I may just rewire as I don’t think the cigarette lighter option will ever work for me.

This 12v transfer pump makes refueling so much easier. The pump has plenty of power to transfer any amount of fuel that I need moved. It has predrilled holes for mounting too. The power cord plugs directly into the 12V socket in my truck. It also came with battery clips I can use if needed. The pump is not very loud, but works great.
