I picked up this replacement to use in my RV to connect a battery monitor in the cab. I can then keep tabs on the condition of my starter battery. It is intended to be plugged in continuously, even when not actually on a camping trip. This fit the bill great, except for one thing – the small power draw of an LED bulb in the plug itself.
I understand why it is there, and in most cases is useful for being able to see if the fuse is good. For that it is perfect and is very bright. In my use case, however, it adds battery draw when none is desired, so I opened it up to eliminate the bulb. You can see from my photo, the insides are very straight forward, with no circuits other than the resistor that needs to be eliminated to open the circuit for the bulb.
This plug is a good value, and well made. The crimp connectors with insulators on the tips made making the connections extremely easy without the need for solder and electrical tape. Will come back to this plug the next time I need another!

This 12 volt replacement plug is a great item for my self-built campervan. As I set up my simple solar system, I ran out of receptacles on my solar battery. This plug allowed me to re-wire my 12 volt electronic item to fit the “cigarette lighter” plug. The wires are good quality and the connection is secured once plugged in. This would also be a good backup to have in your toolbox.

Great construction and solid feel, with Higher gauge wire. I was able to use this to run my heavy-duty portable compressor with no problem. Easy plug connectors that allow me to insert my wires and crimp or solder. I took off one star because as it was delivered, it did not work, so I opened the fuse compartment, and although it had a 250V 15 amp fuse in it, the Fuse was literally broken; the cap had come separated from the body. I replaced the fuse and it works fine.

I’ve been through at least 8 different sets of these in mostly RV related applications. I can honestly say these are the nicest yet!
They have a strong build quality feel to them. A sturdy feel overall. Even if they don’t look it in pictures!
There’s 16 AWG markings on the wire leads. The insulation is thick, ply-able, and quality feeling. And the wires in fact say: “Jinting Nuclear Cable Co LTD”! So perhaps they’ll survive a coming zombie apocalypse even!
They have really nice ends on the leads, which would appear to be useable with male type “bullet connectors” of appropriate size, or they could also be easily crimped directly onto a wire. And these connections also have thick, shielding insulation already covering for your chosen connection method. Or just clip them off entirely and then utilize standard butt connectors.
There’s a molded strain relief built into the main plug body. The plug feels essentially sturdier than any other plug of this type I ever remember using. The side springs are resilient and serviceable. There’s also a built-in red power indicator LED.
Again, overall they’re sturdy feeling. About the only thing I don’t know is how the internal fuse is. Though I would “assume” it’s a standard 10 amp fuse in there. The only reason I can’t check is because the “normal” knurled screw at the tip is strong and put on tightly. To get inside would likely take some pliers to unscrew it. Also, the extreme metal end tip electrode has a very sturdy spring behind it too.
Of all the sets of these I’ve used in the past, these would be “top of my list”.
When you actually hold one you notice the extra quality, above the usual.

I can recommend these for your projects whatever they might be.
I only wish all of mine had been this good, which is again, above “typical” fare, as these 12 volt cigarette plugs go.
You can squeeze the black plastic body of the plug hard between your fingers and it doesn’t yield or flex at all. Yet it also doesn’t feel prone to being “crispy” either, or easily cracked. Very nice!
I’ll likely choose these again in my future if they’re still available.
A good value. These would be, “the ones” you want.

Used these plugs to replace a plug on my portable air compressor that I hook up to my cigarette lighter. Easy to install to existing wire. Built very well and had all the covers and hookup to attach to other wiring. Was definitely a great value for the money!

This thing seems like it can pull 15A. It is solid and well-made. I used it to repair a broken plug from a portable tire inflator. It seems to work fine for this purpose. From a value perspective, it is quite reasonably priced when comparing it against others that do not seem as heavy-duty.

I like the way this feels when you slide it in and out of the cigarette lighter, it’s not super stiff. It slides in Nice and smooth, and it also comes with the connectors with the plastic on them. So you simply connected, and you’re good to go. It’s well made and like I said, it does slide in and out comfortably without being too hard, so definitely a good quality product. Usable, long-term item highly recommend this one. You’ll enjoy it as one of the better ones that I found heavy wire. Well, made connector’s already on it. It’s a great deal. I have no problems running a heavy duty flashlight through it. So it will definitely handle others higher power and it doesn’t get real hot like I said, it is well made.
I have also used it with my eyes tire pump, so it definitely task. Plenty of power to run my air pump highly recommend.This one as a good price

I recently purchased a seven pin plug so I could wire a lighter plug into it and run 12 volt devices from my hitch connection.
The Vrllinking Store 12 volt cigarette lighter plug was just what I needed to complete my project. I attached this so it could be plugged in to the female cigarette lighter plug for my little 12 volt refrigerator and it works perfect. I like this plug since it has a red LED letting you know the plug is hot and receiving power. This is a heavy duty 15 amp plug that works as designed and is a great deal for the money.
