Gaia –
Fits and function in 2013 Kia Optima is spot on. This starter was installed 6 was ago. Haven’t had any start issues since install . Kia was having intermittent start issues – clicking with failure to start despite full battery charge and sold connections – bright healdlights and interior lights, Sticking solenoid issue is common failure issue for starter. This starter is priced fairly compared to some others that have it priced as 24kt gold – its frustrating to have to replace a starter due to solenoid issues and also pay $$$$ for one when what you need is a solenoid so it helps soften the blow to find reasonably priced parts. Don’t be fooled by ginormous price tags there is nothing special going on there!! 6 weeks and no issues – generally if a part doesn’t fail within 6 wks – I find they tend to last a while. So I feel good about recommending this starter. Starters are generally easy to replace – and was the very first part I ever swapped on my vehicle 27 years ago. That experience led me to work on cars more and led up to today- where I don’t hesitate to fix anything on any vehicle. I work on a lot of cars and even look for broke down cars to fix. So i just want to say- replacing a starter is something just shout anybody can do. It’s very straight forward. You can do it.

Only thing I had to do is put a coat of paint on it other then that it bolted right up and works great,, I also add light coat of grease to bendix but the price was definitely reasonable
