This is not an easy job if you have large hands like me but it can be done without removing the upper intake. Patience and persistence are the keys. See YouTube videos. Saved a couple hundred dollars.

I got this for my 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500 LTZ AWD and it leaked oil and although it did get my oil gauge to work again it was faulty and not reading correctly, it also did not turn off my check engine light. I had to buy a new one from Autozone. Would not Recommend.

Direct fit on my 2009 4.8 Silverado. I had gone longer than I should have for an oil change. After finally getting my Oil change, all of a sudden I kept getting an intermittent Oil Pressure warning. I was very concerned, but a mechanic friend said probably gunk in the pressure switch screen. Go this unit with a new screen and everything is back to normal with no Oil pressure errors. The part itself is easy to replace once the back plastic shroud holder is removed.

The biggest problem you’re gonna have is all the different tips and tricks to see if yourself time putting it in place. Might be prepared to lay on top of the engine and remove a couple hoses to make some room for your hand to get back there.
