I purchased these for about 4 vehicles. Soaked them with permatex battery protector/sealer and installed them then sprayed terminal overall and all vehicles are now set to go. I did clean any terminal that was funky prior to using these/that spray. Simple and effective proactive maintenance.

Not sure how these work but they do. I’ve been using these for years and never had a corroded, gunky terminal. I usually put on a new set whenever I have to replace a battery or every 3-4 years if they get oily or really dirty. Not sure if that would affect their function but since they are so cheap I just periodically replace them if it’s been a while.
