Will not charge high capacity deep cycle batteries, at least for me cause it’s trickle charger. Would take days to do so and that’s why I bought it. So I am slightly disappointed.

It didn’t want to charge my battery and I found another (poor) review that told of the same symptom. I left the unit in my freezing car over night. After it warmed up, it worked perfectly. There is mention of a temperature sensor in the electronics without describing it exactly. I think it won’t charge a lithium battery when it’s below freezing and it also doesn’t tell you anything about it being cold.

My only caution is don’t try on smaller battery applications… It Will still put out full current and potentially overheat your batteries.

This is the 1st small charger (my others have wheels lol)…
1st small charger that charges at more than 5amps…
But I can tell it’s the best bang for very few bucks you can spend on one…
When’s it’s unplugged it even gives you capacity, standing voltage, and temp!
BUT! BETTER THAN THAT,!…
IT CHARGES,

It has kept my AGM batteries in better than usual condition…13.1v STANDING! (typical for high end BRAND NEW AGMS!,
Have had them over a year with two, 2,000watt mono blocks, and one 1,000×4@2ohmX4/150×4@4ohm 4 channel, that is running 2 channels @4ohms and two @2 (800watts RMS)
So 160aH total @ a high output 240a alternator which 7 outta 10 seconds is running 14.6v but with longgg, heavy bass lines has dropped to as low as 14.3!!! Can’t complain about that!
I opened up two CT Sounds 2000.1 and wired them to be strappable, giving me 4,000w RMS @ 2 ohms on a Deaf Bonce Apocalypse 300 12″ (2,000w RMS! Heavy hitter in a 05′ Civic 2door) 4 ohm (2 ohm final impedendence)
So therietically it’s pulling about 470-490amps when it’s peaking,
and I charge my AGMs every 12days on a 36mile daily commute!
No doubt this lil charger will charge a minimum of a 200aH bank (maybe 250-300)
And for a dirt cheap, “no name” charger that also charges lipo is phenomenal!

Ok. This is a charger for those who want to be very cautious with their battery’s.
There is no way to get it to do a fast charge.
Put it on a brand new out of the box LFP that was reading 13.1V and it took 18 hours to charge it to 13.5 V.
This completely negates the biggest advantages of AGM and LFP batter technology. The ability to very quickly get back to full charge.
But. I am going to keep it because it was able to repair an old lawn tractor battery. Again took 18 hours, but that battery seems almost new again. This will get used as a maintainer for the lawnmower.

Very simple operation, fully automatic after you select battery type. Works great on AGM, will be using on LiP04 soon..

I have 4 12V AGM style batteries that this unit showed as “Full” when attached. My multi-meter showed them at around 11 volts. So I couldn’t ever get this charger to charge them. I then purchased a Noco Genius 1 charger from Amazon and it charged them up to 13.75 Volts as expected. I did verify the mode button had AGM type batteries chosen and tried multiple times on each battery. Also, the mode button would only work for about 3 seconds when you first plugged it in. Otherwise I couldn’t get it to change modes when either connected or disconnected to a battery. Nice idea for features, now if they only worked. I returned this product.
