This EC5 interface car emergency starter cable looks very well made and is very affordable. The thick wire core has good conductivity, and the matching copper alligator clips have a strong clamping pressure and good bite. The connector matches my portable starter very well, it saves more space than the traditional large clip, and is much more convenient to operate in the small position of the engine compartment. It is very simple to use: the red clip clamps the positive pole and the black clip clamps the negative pole then it can be started by plugging in the emergency power supply. But remember that the order cannot be wrong, and it must be unplugged within 30 seconds after starting the engine. It is absolutely worth the money, you can keep it in the trunk at all times, which can save a lot of trouble at critical moments.

These short little cables worked great for my jump starter. The battery clamps are easy to use and sturdy. The cables are the right thickness without being too thick to use. Overall, a nice product.

This is a nearly identical replacement for battery clamps I had, which broke. The originals broke when I tried to use the clamps in very cold weather (on an ATV when out hunting). The cold made the plastic brittle and they failed when simply trying to open them. These clamps look like they were made from exactly the same mold, so I suspect they will also be susceptible to cold temps. I will be extra cautious if that scenario plays out again.
Otherwise, these fit my unit perfectly and indicator lights work as expected. The cables are a couple inches shorter than the originals, but shouldn’t affect the usability. It would be nice to see the clamps themselves be improved with a beefier solution – time will tell if they hold up any better than the originals.
