This starter lasted about 6 months before the internals shorted out and caused a major power drain. Spend more money for a better quality starter and you will save yourself a headache and possibly from getting stranded.

Seems slightly larger than the OEM one and it’s been an absolute battle trying to get this installed. The fit on a 2014 Sierra is super tight so the slightest change in size been pretty terrible to deal with.

On 2015 4×4 1500 -V6
Very difficult removal process on the 4×4 v6 crew cab models
Look at the many videos helps on Youtube , but there some exceptions on 4×4 v6 crewcab with much less room to remove.
On the 4×4 Z71 crew cab.-remove wheel well cover and the motor mount bolt blocking starter and then the exhaust Heat Shield. Only the shield not entire whole manifold
Then remove pulling stater upward and it will just fit out with your hands all skinned up.
All other YouTube’s show removal by going out lower and down method under engine.
The V6 4×4 is not so easy but with hints and tips can be done without much extra stress if understanding that the 5.3 v8 videos are good reference but do have more room. This starter is same model as 5.3 v8
Regardless, this a not the most easy job with the access being limited. This job on a V6 4×4 2015 crew cab. might not be a job just anyone can do.
The pathway to remove will be challenging but as long as you plan for a difficult job it can be done.
Recommended purchase of the starter pigtail here on Amazon as old one may break on removal.
Have on hand in case needed.
There are multiple helps on youtube that provide help except on the Crewcab V6.
Plan on the job a 2 hour job providing no broken bolts or lack of tools.
