I had not broken into these very soon after purchased, but, last September I used these for the first time on my Wife’s car, 2013 Toyota Rav4. All seemed good, no leaks/spots in the driveway. I did 2 other oil changes, my daughters Corolla and my friends Camry. Last week it came time for an oil change in my wifes Rav4. When I rolled under it, no drips, but the area around the plug was wet. The plug was not tight. I am a mechanic, retired, but still work on stuff. I KNOW the plug was tight and torqued, 30 ftlb per the manual. Had a hard time faulting my work practices for a loose part, I just don’t do that. Did the oil change, cleaned the area, torqued the plug to 30 ftlb and put torque seal across the plug and pan. 1 week later, 240 miles, I roll under it, see the line of torque seal is in place, put a torque wrench on it….same one I always use and was last calibration checked in 2020 , and the weight of the wrench loosened the plug. Took 2 1/2 flats to bring it to 30 ftlb. These are junk, they will cause the plug to loosen and fall out destroying and engine. If you have them, throw them out. BUY GENUINE PARTS! Now I have to get the other cars here and fix this mess, luckily it is probably time to drop the oil anyway.

All good. These washers are quality made and I always replace these under my cars oil pan drain bolt after every oil change. I torque the bolts down to the appropriate car manufacturers spec and these washers have worked well. I’d purchase again.

I use the oil drain plug gaskets on all of my family’s Prius autos for every oil change. They are easily installed and have never leaked. A good product that performs well and is very affordable.
