The Niub is the kit you want when repairing a leather couch, car seats, shoes, jackets or bags. The 10 colors, along with the mixing chart is enough to fix any color leather you may have. The kit also comes with the tools needed to apply the paste and fix most damage. I tested this on my black couch that has a number of light scratches from dog usage over the years and it worked really well. Spreading some of the colored paste on the scratches, smoothing it out and letting it dry is all that was needed. A take away I have is to use only the amount needed to fill in the defect because if too much is used it will fill in the grains in the leather. I haven’t noticed any color transfer from the repairs. A useful kit for leather of all colors.

I was ready to replace an excellent recliner due to fraying and discoloration of the beading and some small cracks in the seat. It now looks “Brand New”. Amazing! I think there should be better instructions included on how to use mixing feature. However, the color I used was a base color and did not require mixing, and the damaged areas essentially disappeared. So, I insist on giving a 5 star rating, even if the instructions could have been slightly better. Good product!

I decided to give this repair kit a try on my old couch, which has picked up some scratches over the years from pets. With ten colors and a mixing chart included, I could blend the paste to get a good match for the leather, and the kit had all the tools needed for the job. I smoothed a small amount of the colored paste over the scratches, and after letting it dry, I was impressed—it blended in nicely without any noticeable color transfer. One thing I learned: use just enough paste to fill in the scratch, as too much can fill the grain and flatten the leather’s texture.
After the success on the couch, I tried it on my car’s shifter boot, which had a worn vinyl spot. I prepped the area by clearing a few loose vinyl flakes and cleaning with some rubbing alcohol to help the paste adhere. The kit came with black and white repair paste that could be blended for custom shades, but since I only needed black, I could apply it directly. Smoothing it with the provided spatula was straightforward, and after it dried, I dabbed it a bit to match the vinyl’s texture and reduce the shine.
The end results on both the couch and the shifter boot were fantastic—the repairs are barely noticeable and flexible, just like the original material. Overall, I’d say this is an easy-to-use kit with reliable results on different types of damage, whether it’s leather or vinyl.

I got this kit to use on my recently purchased used car that had some scratches and damage to the leather interior.
Colour matching can be a pain so it’s really helpful that this kit comes with so many colours to help in getting to the exact match for whatever you’re using it on.
With the correct prep work and finishing I was able to get a great match and can hardly tell that the sections were repaired and painted over.
The finished sections feel soft and supple enough that only I can tell where the repairs were done.
Highly satisfied with this paint set and would definitely recommend!
