It’s not a recommended product.
1 The driven arm offset is more diminutive than OEM – causing jamming when the activator is fully tightened. The lock does not have a firm end click due to resistance.
2. Less the lock knob turning stroke due to the longer lever of the activator’s driven arm
3. Even less the lock knob turning stroke due to less overall driven arm travel compared to OEM.
Turning locking knob travel is much smaller compared to the OEM activator
4. Significant internal resistance, much higher compared to OEM

These door lock actuators were a direct replacement for the factory ones, at a fraction of the price of just a single lock actuator.
The lock actuators required a bit of modification on the white arm to clear, but that’s something that can be done by hand with a steel file. 5 stars for sure for the price and functionality. I am truly amazed that these are as inexpensive as they are, and that all 4 of them worked and have continued to work for well over a month now. Will update the review if they fail.

I used this on my 2003 Lexus GS300. The original driver door lock actuator was acting up, and the cheap replacement (from ebay) had straight up died. I ordered this, installed it no problem, and now my door opens and closes when I want it to 4 months later. The OEM ones are so unreliable that you lose nothing with getting this. In fact, I can buy this, and multiple spares, and it’ll still cost me less than a single OEM unit!

They all installed and worked. I did have to re adjust my lock cables where they go to the door handle to make the power locks and keyless work again. But with a little time and taking the doors Pannels off twice they did the trick. For the price can’t beat them

The product works excellent. There was some confusion at first regarding number of pins. But eventually problem was resolved

PARTS WORKED GREAT — JUST READ ON FOR ADVICE ….
Just a word of caution to everyone… I replaced all 4 actuators on my 2003 Lexus RX300 doors. Upon completion, my key would start the car as normal but the remote features (lock, unlock, panic) would not work at all. I even tried the reprogramming steps with the hit the lock/unlock 5 times, insert the key, yadda yadda yadda … that didn’t help. So, what I found out was that the alarm system was out of sync. I found these instructions to get your remote features back up and running… It worked perfect…. follow these steps if your remote stops working after changing out the actuators …
I tried everything several times from adding, deleting, re-programing my remote but nothing worked until I tried the following:
1) Lock your doors with the key on the driver’s side door, then wait until the red security light goes from constant on to blinking (about one minute) this sets the alarm…
2) Go to the passengers door and unlock it with the key and open the door, this will set off the alarm then close the door and go around to the driver’s door…
3) Unlock it with the key then open it, while it’s open use your remote’s unlock button and that should stop the alarm and activate your remote… Good luck

My friend who is a Toyota mechanic quoted me $1,400 for the parts at the dealer. With the savings, I was able to pay him under the table to replace them.
To reprogram the locks to the alarm, I followed these steps. 1. Lock all the doors with the key in the driver door. Make sure the security light is blinking. If necessary, turn the key to lock the door twice, or hold it until the light flashes. 2. Unlock the passenger door with the key and open the door. Leave it open. 3. Unlock the driver’s door with the key. 4. Bring the key close to the security light and press the Unlock button. You should hear the “two beeps” that indicate the disarm/unlock action and the other doors & lift-hatch will unlock.
Close the doors & press the lock and button, and everything should work.

The mechanic installed the actuators. Cant talk about the difficulty of installation etc. All I can talk about is the results, and they are awesome. For months, the doors have been acting up. Had to be taking time to make sure each door was manually locked before driving anywhere. Now, the central locking is working perfectly, turn on the engine and get moving, the doors lock as they should. There’s actually less delay in the auto-lock when you leave the vehicle unattended. Just need to make sure we have the key on us at all times, because that door locks in no time. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Nearly identical to OEM that went bad. Has a little extra piece of plastic on one of the arms, but does not seem to matter in this application (could easily be trimmed if needed).
After getting door all reassembled, noticed door actuator would not lift door lock mechanism completely. Had to add couple layers of heat shrink tubing around end of lifter arm ,as a shim, to get it to work properly. There may have something on the OEM version that was lost, but don’t remember having one on disassembly.

Amazing value for a part that was identical to the OEM. They aren’t easy to replace! It takes some dexterity to release the rods from the lock unit, but the parts fit perfectly! I replaced the remote lock units on the driver and rear left doors on a 2001 RX300 and they’re working great!
