The most common failure of a back flow is the poppet. I’ve gone through a few of them during the winter freezes and I’ve spent twice as much for a replacement. This poppet replacement is very affordable and works just as it should. Installation is very easy, just remove the cap nut, remove the old poppet and screw on the new one. Make sure to use the silicon gel. It will help make a good seal and helps you screw on the poppet fully. It does take some force to fully seat the new poppet. Don’t be scared, it can take the force. Once installed, it will work just like the original. I highly recommend having an extra on hand just in cases.
