This was for a 2007 VW rabbit 2.5 L connects to the radiator outlet on lower drivers side. Not a fault on the part, but for the installation sensor seats quite losely and on top of opening, could fall out on it own, and is only held in place after inserting the black plastic clip (not included). This was different for other VWs where the temp sensor has to be pushed hard deep into the opening quite a bit to get it to seat properly and then same clip is inserted.
