Part doesn’t work
BRANDON W. –
Part works at normal rpm range. If higher rpm, barometric pressure malfunction error occurs and mil light comes on.

Bought this to repair my adult daughters ’13 Passat,. I installed it along with a new throttle body intake. Didn’t get a code for the MAP sensor until after I installed this new one, which i decided to replace with a new one instead of just clean the old one. We took the car to our mechanic, who replaced a coil for a miss in the 5th cylinder. The car runs fine now, but the code for a faulty MAP sensor is coming up. And I already threw the old one away. When I try to start a return, the only two options are ‘ordered the wrong part’ and isn’t compatible. Where’s the ‘defective’ choice these days??

I installed it on my car because of P0106 code. The old MAP was dirty with oil residual. However, my car still showed the MAP sensor code and check engine is on. I used OBD scanner to clear the code and the car showed battery sign then shut off. I restarted the car, the code was still there. The car was then shaking and choking. I checked all the cables and hoses were properly connected. I had to go to Walmart and got MAF sensor cleaner. After cleaning the old MAP sensor, I put the old one back to the car. Surprisingly, the car works fine. I looked at the back of this MAP sensor, there is nothing printed on the back. It took me quite time to put it in and take it out. I will not recommend it to anyone.
