I bought a Duralast power inverter a year ago and from day one the supplied cigarette adapter cable was junk. And I mean junk! The connection was poor and it slipped out of the cigarette port all the time. I’m not sure why I didn’t purchase a new cable until now, but I’m very happy with this replacement cable for it. It doesn’t slip out of the cigarette port at all and the contacts are nice and tight as well. Very impressed, and glad I don’t have to fiddle around with it to make it work for a long drive.
I recommend this as a high-quality replacement cable for your power inverter or other application. Just be sure to look up how many amps and volts your inverter draws so that you purchase the correct rated one with the right fuse in it.

These seem to be well formed and sturdy with appropriately thick side contacts (often very thin and flimsy on cheap units) and a center contact spring of a bronze-like, low resistance alloy. I destruction tested one with a torch on the plastic and running 30 amps through, for 15 minutes, with little ill effect. I suggest buying units which already have a pigtail that you can crimp or solder onto; soldering on your own wire is easy enough but reassembly is a royal PIA that requires 3 hands. For high current applications (15 or 20A max), I suggest removing the fuse and replacing the fuse and spring with a low tension spring of thicker wire and using an in-line fuse as necessary. BTW, running 15+ amps, continuously through you vehicles lighter socket will likely blow it’s fuse and surely will “cook” it.

I have a nice medium wattage 12VDC to dual 120VAC dual outlet power adapter I’ve had for a long time. I use it when necessary to either power some things remotely or to use a CPAP machine while traveling long distance and need to nap. I had to repair the connectors on the old power cord a few times and the cord was getting shorter and shorter. The size of connectors which I had to get at the auto parts store weren’t always readily available. I found this on Amazon while just casually looking. It is a great substitute. The only thing I would like better would be a lower gauge(larger) diameter wire. Other than that, perfect!

While a lot of people use power poles these days there is a lot to be said for the convenience of using cig plugs for accessories both in cars and in the field with Marine batteries (which I use with large portable telescopes) in carrying cases. These are high quality units with decent gauge cords pre-molded and fuse inserts. Good deliver and good price – much better than anything I could find locally in auto suppliers and general retailers.
