I never replaced air filters before and figured it couldn’t be that hard. I watched YouTube videos first on how to do it and then ordered the filters – searching Google first and ultimately deciding on this filter with the activated carbon in addition to the accordion filter. It took me 5 minutes the firs time to figure out how to remove my glove box and how to unhook the filter housing to remove the current filter. Once I figured it out, it took seconds to remove the old filter (which was gross with dust and debris) and install this new one and put everything back together again. But then oops! I realized i put the filter in upside down and had to do it again,, but this time it took me less than one minute. So so easy! I will never pay the high service rates at the dealership for this – literally my local Subaru service department charges $31 labor to replace this filter, not including another $40 for the filter.

I live in Florida and I bought this filter for my 2023 Subaru Impreza and the split design allowed leaves to enter my ac system. Was a pain in the ass to remove and the dealer wanted 120 Dollars to do it! Just stick to the OEM filter makes no difference.

They sent the filter in 2 sections. One smaller and one bigger. They go in too far where the filter sits and can only fit one or the other, but not both together. Avoid this product, false advertising. Shows on box one single piece, came in two.
