I like the metal construction and the dual support. The unit also comes with an inline fuse and two replacement fuses. The only thing that I would like to see different is that the switch turns the entire unit off. I would have preferred that it just turn off the voltage display. With lifep04 batteries, the voltage information is not useful anyway and the unit is installed just above my head when the bed is opened. I think it will be hidden by my phone though.
Edit: Just returned from first camping trip with this installed in our travel trailer. Found it just too bright to tolerate above our bed even after covering the display with black tape. Too much light found its way around the tape and I will have to replace this with a unit which has no display. If you can hide this, it is a fine unit.

I purchased it so it would stand out from an array of black USB receptacles indicating that it has USB-C capabilities. And I love the fact that it has an aluminum body making it more durable. The voltage meter is an added plus.

My phone used to charge very slowly in the power outlet of my 2013 Honda Odyssey. So I thought something like this with a USB-C charger and fast charging would be perfect. If I could go back and do it all over again, I would not have installed this but simply dumped it in the trash. There are no instructions on how to install this in a car. When I contacted the seller he would send me videos of it being installed on a block of wood. Haha. No help for my minivan. I needed to take out the cigarette lighter from the Odyssey and try to install it over there but there are no videos on how to do this and no help from the seller. To install it in the car you have to buy a separate trim tool kit to take out the panels. I did this but still managed to break at least three clips. Furthermore, once you have gotten out all the panels – 3 of them, the cigarette lighter (see photo) is much narrower than this USB-C charger. So the outlet door must be removed because there is no space for it. Now your car has a hole in place of the door..
I went to the Odyssey forums and one person was extremely helpful and I ended up going over to his house as he happened to live in the same city and he kindly installed it for me and I paid him a donation.
Even so, the door of the power outlet cannot be closed over it and it looks broken and I am afraid this will negatively hurt the resale value of my car when I choose to sell it. Again unless you have a junk car that you’re willing to work on, I would highly recommend you do not use this product. I do not know why other people rate it so highly.

You know how you put your cigarette charger lighter in the cigarette holder for your car to charge your cell phone and next time you go to use it it’s missing Will this device eliminates that problem because you do need to install it within the dash but it’s screwed in there people can’t take it it’ll always be there it’s a great device to have and it’s got a power button on it as well so you can turn it on and off if you wanted to have it constantly have power running I like the fact that I always know that I have a way to charge my phone in the car at all times and that somebody couldn’t steal it

A few years ago I installed a dual USB-A 2.4amp charger in my little GMC Sonoma on the dash. I have been wanting to replace it. Well now I have! As my truck only seats 2 people I may never get full use out of this plug but I wanted USB-C PD ports in case someone had those connections or I upgraded my own charging cord.
See the pic… I have swapped out the old for the new. Perfect fit. I have the power wires running through the dash to the fuse panel on the drivers side where I installed an Add-A-Fuse and a 15 amp car fuse (rather than using the wires that came with it). Best part is that the green of the display is easier to see in daylight and it has an on/off button so I can turn off its dazzling brilliance during the night when it kinda hurts the eyes. Yes, that is my only complaint. That green LED display is VERY bright.
