This car charger has been awesome so far! I love how easy it is to use — no fumbling with extra cables or clutter. The retractable built-in cords are hands-down my favorite feature. This charger is impressive! We have an older suv with no USB chargers causing us to need a solution for charging our devices. I love that this one has a pivot allowing you to angle it where you need it. Both included charging cords (my wife has an iPhone, I have a Galaxy!) work really well. Repeatedly I tugged on the reels pretty hard trying to get it stuck and every time one more tug and it retracted as designed. One note: if your car’s cigarette lighter isn’t switched (with the key being removed), this might present a small issue as it has an always-on blue light in it. I could see that running the battery down on a car that isnt driven every day.
In our car the outlet is switched so it’s all good. If it wasn’t, I would just unplug this after each use. Overall it works exactly as described.

This thoughtfully designed power adapter includes a useful variety of ports (USB-A and USB-C) and two retractbale cords, one lightning (older Apple products) and USB-C (Android and new Apple products). I found the longer stalk appropriate for my vehicle and appreciated the ability to tilt the block to make it easier to access and read the labels.

Aside from being a little bit on the bulky side, this car charger is exactly what I was looking for! I have an older iPhone model so I appreciate that the lightning cable was included along with the type C charger (which will accommodate my husband’s newer phone when he’s traveling in my car). The cords extend with a simple pull and retract effortlessly – in the same way you would release the tension from a fully extended seatbelt; one extra pull and that’s it!
The fact that you can plug in EVEN more stuff is an absolute game-changer for me. No more playing Hunger Games with “which item do I charge first?” You can charge them all! Since this connects to my 9V charging port in my car it actually frees up the space for the USB outlets that came with the car, which means any passengers in the backseat can plug in as well.
This is listed under $20 and it is definitely worth your purchase. Excellent value, fast charging; this gadget gets the job done. Oh, and it rotates up and down, so you can position the charger in whatever posture you’d like in your vehicle! 🙂
