You can’t go wrong with any of the optimate chargers. The optimate 7 is a quick charger and it diagnoses the battery state and what kind of charge it needs for longevity of the battery.

I have owned an Optimate 4 for several years to charge motorcycle batteries and it still performs excellent.
So, I bought this Optimate 7 for charging car or truck batteries. It works just as good as the 4, but I found that the LED indicators are not as intuitive as the 4 (it does not have the 3 charging level indicators which gives you an idea of the charging duty cycle).
I also found that when the charger indicates the battery is fully charged, I would call it a “minimal” full charge. Good enough to start a car, but not at the maximum of what the battery could charge to.
