It fits loose and rubber really doesn’t seal well. But it does not seem to leak although I haven’t tried to pump it 100% full. That will be the test.

Best fuel pump ever as soon as it was installed it changed nothing on my vehicle I’ve changed the oil and spark plugs 3 times and can’t figure out why this thing won’t start up and pussh the fuel to the radiator but looks good and holds up the hole water/fuel tank without any straps all by itself.

Pump was a little harder than I thought to install because the lid was tighted hard on the tank it took some little ideas on how to spin it off. But the pump came out and went back in. Product was like the original so no need to worrie.

Just changed mines today when it arrived and it went in without a problem, I did change the rubber seal to the beck arney one and it did feel better than this one they provided, I decided to follow another review and glad I did, much thicker seal for a nice tight fit. Car started right up and the gas gauge was spot on with the original , so five stars so far, hope it last!

The seal that comes with the pump is too large. After driving the car for 1 day it started leaking gas and the cause of that was the oversized seal not making proper closure.

Not a big review writer however do make the effort when a purchase is a great deal and works as advertised. Was hesitant at the low price compared to the parts store for this pump but after 4 month in service in my 1999 vw beetle it continues to operate well. The fit was perfect and a fuel pump in a new beetle is fortunately one of the components fairly easy to install. So DIY was not a problem. 15 minutes and done.

My Beetle sat out by the barn for 3 years. Finally spent a couple hours diagnosing the no start condition and determined the original pump was dead. This seemed like a low cost option to revive the old girl and it worked great! She fired up immediately after installing this. Working as it should so far.

Yes, the part was fixed with no hassles as a replacement to the old one.
We still had the same issue in the car so we changed many other parts thinking that the fuel pump has been changed, so there is no issue related to it.
After changing a chain of parts related to the car to fix the vibration issue, it turned that the weak part is the feul pump.
Once again, I was thinking the pump is having a good quality, but after this long hassle, it turned a very poor quality, and was not as described.
Not recommended at all.
