I ordered this for my husband because his old stopped working and I was being nice trying to replace it.
He used it to charge his truck battery and while slow (in my opinion) he said he’s actually impressed with it.
It’s easily portable. Compact. As other reviews suggested, the cords could be longer. But its fine.

This delivers close enough to 30A @ 12V, holding steady around 28A. It starts with a 15-minute pre-charge phase at 2.5A before ramping up to full amperage setting. Fan then kicks in and runs cool and quiet, thus keeping it from turning into a toaster oven – always a plus.
It’s pretty straightforward to use – it will automatically detect whether it’s connected to a 12V or 24V battery, but you have to manually set the battery type and amperage selections. You need to start charging shortly after setting amperage else it will fall back to a default setting.
It doesn’t seem to have a float mode for LiFePO4. Instead, it flashes and shows 100% on the display, then completely powers down after a brief period. The first time that happened, I wasn’t sure if it was a glitch or some kind of protection mode, but after charging another battery and watching more closely it seems to be just how it works.
I don’t have a use for it charging lead-acid batteries at the moment, so I didn’t test charging and repair modes for lead-acid.
The percent charge meter didn’t seem to match the meter reading on my inverter, reporting lower than expected, so I don’t know how much you can rely on it to indicate charge status.
It’s built pretty durable and I like the wide body design for stability. The display stays lit and is easy to read. The handle design is a little weird, though. It pivots in a way that doesn’t actually add any comfort – if anything, it just makes it feel like an unnecessary extra step in the design and manufacturing process. Not a complaint, just noting an odd choice.
Overall, it delivers the power it promises at a fair price, stays cool, and doesn’t catch fire. That’s a win in my book!

We live out in the country with no neighbors so this is handy to have on hand. When kids leave the lights on we can charge the battery again. This can jump the battery or in cases that the battery is really dead, we can charge it overnight. It does plug in, but luckily we have a shed close to our driveway so we can run an extension cord and charge the battery. Can also use for the lawn mower and gocart. Really happy to have this. Brings a lot of peace of mind.

Very easy to use, basic batt-charger with repair mode. Didn’t have much of a trickle charge capability, and the DC leads are shorter than I’d like, but all other aspects of it work just fine. Simply hook it all up, make a couple/three selections and let it get busy. I’d give it a 4.6 star rating overall – and the pricing is decent too.

Unboxing, immediately noticed the battery leads were too short….maybe around 3’ and should be at least 6’ in length. I have a Schumacher 6A automatic battery charger that I had used to fully charge my Audi A4 trunk battery. I hooked up an automatic trickle charge (2A) and it too showed my battery fully charged. I hooked up this new 30A Yinleader battery according to the instructions and powered on the unit with the back panel rocker switch, and it showed my battery charge at 80%. I set the charging level at 5A (options are 5A, 10A, and 30 A) and it charged for about an hour and display still showed 80% charge. Not quite sure what to make of this when two previous chargers showed the battery fully charged. Advertises as suitable for charging and repairing lead-acid batteries, including AGM, STD, GEL, SLA, and 12V LiFePO4 batteries. Nice front display for charge voltage and % battery charge with battery, charge, stop/start, and repair mode selections.
Update: After a few hours charging, the display still showed 80% charge, so I turned off the charger still connected with the battery, waited about a minute, then turned it back on. The charger display now shows the battery is fully charged at 100%. It appears something is off about this charger’s ability to measure the battery’s actual charge.

this is a high-powered charger that appears to do a good job charging car batteries. the charger does not appear to be able to send less then 5 amps to the battery even though it claims to send 2 amps initially when charging. i won’t use this for my motorcycles or garden tractor batteries that should not be charged at more than 2 amps. as to the repair function. i have a show car that has a deep cycle/starter marine battery that is a perfect candidate for this repair function. it’s getting pretty old now and seems to have lost some of its capacity. the manual states the repair function takes 24 hours to complete but i have not been comfortable letting it run the repair cycle while i sleep so I’ve been running the repair cycle during daytime hours. the repair cycle shows a battery percentage that seems to constantly be changing. it will be up to 90% for a bit the go down to 65%. then move up again and then back down. the manual does not clarify at all what these percentages are telling me. overall, it’s a nice charger but it will take some time to figure out the repair cycle.

I have a number of chargers, but this unit had more features than any I own. I hooked it up and tested its charging and it worked well. It quickly topped of the test battery. I like how compact this is for something with so many features.
