The gauge looks great. However, the security seal that Autometer puts on their inner packaging had been cut. So the item had been out of the package at one time. The gauge appeared to have been disassembled. All the nuts on the rear of the housing that hold the gauge to the housing were very loose. The plastic bag that had the nuts in it had been cut open and laying in the bottom of the inner packaging. The nuts that were supposed to be in the plastic bag were not there. I have yet to install the gauge. I gave it two stars since the box had been opened along with the inner clam shell package.

I ordered this for 1965 GTO along with voltemeter and water temp. Works fine, no problems.

The inside of the glass on this gauge keeps fogging up on the inside at night when the lights are on. Contacted Auto Meter and they said that “it depends where you live” and to send it back to them for service & they “will disassemble and coat the inside of the glass with an anti fog for free.” So now I have to take my dash apart, pay to ship the gauge back, and have the car down all because they did not simply coat the glass with an anti fog when assembling it to start with. Do a Google search and you will find that this is a common issue with certain Auto Meter gauges.

works great as a replacement for my 68 charger amp gauge after tearing off the outside, cutting the needle and painting over the autometer at the bottom

Bery easy to install

I purchased three gauges (oil temp, oil pressure and voltage) at the same time. The gauges works good, but they fog so bad you can’t read the gauge! I checked online and this is a issue for auto meter gauges. I emailed tech support and never received an response back. Replaced the incandescent light bulbs with LED’s, it helped but didn’t eliminate the fogging. I guess that’s what I get for switching from Stewart Warner

Arrived quickly and matched my other gauges. It’s an AutoMeter gauge so I expect it to work as advertised.
