This unit “looks” like a direct fit for a 2013 Ford Escape 2.0, but it’s not. There are several clip bumps around the body, but the main one used on the Escape is missing.
It was also a struggle to get the unit pressed all the way in. The rubber gasket on this unit is a little thick for this specific application.
I managed to get this installed and held in place with TRex tape to compensate for the missing clip bump.
It’s holding and working but the genuine Ford part isn’t that much more. I would recommend getting that instead.

This product works well so far. It is not really that easy to get to without some manipulation.
Used two screwdrivers in the slots to get it off. After that it was not so bad. You do not have to pull the entire canister off. Most likely those nuts are rusted like mine. With this part the symptoms are either a check engine light or when you first start up there is a trolley or whistling noise from the rear end. It only actuates on initial start up to check for leak issues within you evap system. In my case usually in colder temps it made a noise. So far after replacement no more odd noise from the back end under car. I did test the old one with voltage and would not close the internal valve like the new one. So that goblen is gone. Good Luck!

After watching some videos and reading some comments from other owners this canister purge valve was one of the goto problem items that cause fuel tank vapor purge issues and the dreaded fuel tank purge (P1450) engine light.
In my MKC, it clips onto the vapor canister next to the fuel tank. Problem is, on all wheel drive models it’s a pan because access is obstructed by the rear differential. Minimal hand and visual access make replacing it a pain. I was successful after many attempts and four letter words. Unfortunately, in my case, it wasn’t the root problem item, although I’m glad I changed it because of so many documented issues others have had with it. The final fix to my problem was replacing the purge harness with the Dorman 911-774 Vapor Canister Purge Harness.
Both the valve and the harness are known trouble makers so I would recommend changing both at the same time.
My one star for “ease of installation” is NOT a poor review of this particular part. It’s due to the limited access to it due to its location.

I purchased this because my check engine light was on due to a fuel bleeding issue. Perfect fit for my 2017 Ford Explorer. The part works great. Install was easy as well.

Purchased for a 2018 Lincoln MKC. Cross reference says it is compatible and, yes it does fit in the hole and the plug is correct, however, if you notice in the picture, one of the sides does not have the receiver for the attaching clip to hold it in place. That side is the one needed for this lincoln model. The Standard Motors # CP-806 has the clip points on all 4 sides, making it compatible. I unfortunately didn’t notice this at time of install, and the o-ring seal alone will not hold the valve in place. It will vibrate loose and create a huge vacuum leak.

Before buying i filled my vehicle information on the seller’s page and he confirmed that it was compatible, but it’s NOT.
Very disappointing on the situation.
Hopefully the seller will correct that. Waiting for him to respond.
