EDITED REVIEW: Processed a return and received both gaskets in a sealed bag. These ones are clearly unused, so I am happy about that. Leaving as 4 stars because I had to process a replacement; will update the review after I have installed and used the gaskets for a while.
OLD REVIEW: Only one gasket came with my order. The pictures very clearly show two gaskets, one with the wire mesh and the other without. The ziploc bag holding the gasket looks like it was cut open. Very disappointed with this order as I’ve been waiting to fix an oil leak. Now that I look closer, the gasket in the bag appears to be used also… nly one gasket came with my order. (1997 Honda Del Sol Si) Had a very bad oil leak from somewhere in my engine bay that was leaking onto the exhaust manifold and smoking like crazy. I replaced the valve cover gasket to no avail, so after chasing the drips and runs, I found a giant pool of oil around the VTEC solenoid and ordered this product. Product arrived quickly and after about a 5-10 min install, no more leaks! Completely dry. The 20+ year old gasket crumbled apart as I took it off, and the new rubbery gasket fit nice and snug. It might me a few mils too long in the perimeter but not enough to cause a kink in the gasket. Amazing quality for the price.

Update Aug 22, 2024
I removed the leaking gasket. It was the gasket with the mesh filter that had disintegrated under the heat.
The other gasket seems to be intact.
I had to buy a new aftermarket VVT actuator that comes with the 2 gaskets and a metal plate.
Part number VVT282UP made by Standard Motor Products for $91.79 +tax + shipping.
I will update again on how the VVT282UP hold up.
Update Aug 20, 2024
Took another 400 mile trip in Aug, 2024. The replacement VTEC gasket started leaking again, most likely due to the 100+ degree F summer.
Lowering to 1 star.
Update May 2024
Took a long 400 mile trip recently and no check engine light, and no leak visible. Upgraded rating to 5 stars.
Original review:
2008 Honda Odyssey EX-L had a small oil leak at the front VVTi solenoid next to the oil dip stick.
I caught the leak early enough that there was no damage to the alternator.
I installed the 2 new gaskets, but I re-used the old OEM screen mesh.
For the next 4 weeks of driving mostly urban traffic, there was no leak and no CEL code.
Then I took a 400 mile round trip and after driving 50 miles at interstate speed ( 75 mph), the CEL came on.
After the CEL came on, there was no oil leak at the front VVTi solenoid, no discernible change in engine performance or gas mileage for the remaining 350 miles of the trip.
I scanned the code and it was P3497 ( Cylinder Deactivation System Bank 2 ),
Since the Cylinder Deactivation system on the Honda 3.5 Liter engine is a useless, annoying feature, I have already disabled it. So, a non-working Cylinder Deactivation system is just fine with me.
I cleared the code and the CEL has not come back on after several weeks of urban driving.
I don’t know if the P3497 code will come back but if the code comes on again, I have 2 options
1) Clear the P3497 code and keep on driving
This is my preferred solution. Since there is no discernible change in engine performance, I only need to worry about the leak. If the gasket leaks again, I will try the Mahle gasket from OReilly.
2) Buy the Honda OEM VVTi solenoid at more than $US200 and install the new OEM gaskets.
I will provide update when I have a chance to take the long trip again.

Smaller gasket fit perfect, the larger lower gasket does it fit a d16 engine.

The product was great it worked fine when i replacethem.. the oem parts were hard almost like plastic i think because they were the original of my 99 Civic EX.. so far zero leaks.. i cleaned my engine with brake cleaner to clear the engine of oil.

Even if you give the Honda dealer parts counter the numbers for these two gaskets they can’t sell them to you. Honda won’t sell them in America. Rather they want you to buy the whole VTEC spool valve assembly, currently $231.55 (and that doesn’t include tax or labor). I bought these two gaskets and had them replaced in my neighbors 2010 V6 Accord in about 20 minutes, saving him a bunch of $$$. They are made in China but seem to fit fine, other than I had to straighten the built-in screen slightly. Highly recommended.
If you have this leak from just above the oil dipstick and you don’t fix it, the oil runs down into the alternator, ruining it. Don’t delay fixing this problem.
I only gave four stars because I don’t know how reliable they will prove out to be in the long run, but for now, they have stopped the oil leak.
Still good in Nov 2023 so I gave five stars.
Still good in Nov 2024.
