Used this to replace broken drivers side window assembly for 2010 Honda Odyssey. Removal of existing broken one was a bit tricky because it was stuck in the up position. Had to unbolt the rail and motor, reach in the door panel and cut the cable and plastic/foam insulated covering, which proved to be quite difficult. There is a video on YouTube on how to do that. One that was done, installation was cake. Remember to secure the window with suction cups on the top or support in the door to prevent it from dropping and cracking. That would ruin your day.

was hesitant that it didn’t having auto up down but realistically i think it was just “OCD” works awesome supper easy install sprayed track and everything with a silicone lube just encase cycled the motor up down with the bolts snug not tight so they would find there natural position then tightened everything down after that

Drivers side window was hardly going up at all in cold wisconsin weather. It would be terrible to have it stuck all the way down in sub-zero weather. Part appears to be oem quality. Look up online how to remove door panel and to install motor and regulator and you will save time and problems. A tip to remove plastic weather shield is to use a hair dryer to heat glue so it can be removed easily. About 1 1/2 hours to install. Works great and Amazon’s price is great.

This part worked well for about six months. Now, the motor binds intermittently. I can tap the motor body with a screwdriver and it starts working again.

Update, August 27, 2021: Yesterday, I changed out the older version of the same Dorman part that I installed on my 2005 Odyssey EXL exactly 5 years ago. I have attached a photo showing the same Dorman part from 5 years ago compared to the current, August 2021 Dorman part. I noticed that there were some small design changes made from 5 years ago, namely that the part that you screw the window base into is now made of plastic. It used to be metal. As another reviewer mentioned, the current version doesn’t hold the window straight as it goes down. Going up is not an issue. Just on the way down it shifts from where it is meant to be. I think this shift is probably due to a minor flaw in design of the metal channel that the window base moves up and down along the Dorman part. It’s not a major issue since it causes about a three or four millimeter shift/forward tilt in movement of the wibdow when going from up to down position, but it always seems to end up sitting correctly when fully down or fully up. Just make sure to grease up the rear and front run channels in your door with silicon grease and you won’t have an issue. Another thing that two other reviewers stated was that they couldn’t get the auto up/down to work. There are at least two procedures to reset the auto up/down feature according to my 2005 Odessey shop manual. One of them requires resetting the car’s computer with the shop OBDII computer. Can’t do that. The other is a stepwise process of turning the ignition on/off while holding the widow button down, etc. I followed that procedure closely several times, but have had no success in activating the auto up/down feature. Note that the earlier version of this part had no such issue. It’s not a big deal for me. It’s an old car and I’ll live with it. But one star removed as a result. If I ever get the auto up/down to work, I’ll post an update.
Update, August 22, 2021: Stopped working with a big “bang”/”whack” sound against the inner door panel. I haven’t had a chance to look into it yet, but from the sound on failure of the unit I assume that the cable snapped. So I got exactly 5 years use out of it. Not too bad. I did read that these came with a “lifetime warranty”, so I’m going to look into that. I’ll update after repair. (FYI, couldn’t be bothered with looking up the warranty so just paid and got the part again).
Update Jan. 2019: It’s been over 2 years now and this thing is working as it did when I first installed it. I will add (after reading several other negative reviews about this product), that it is not as good at the original Honda part. It seems to work a little slower, and the motor is a little noisier. When I installed this I made sure to grease the guides where the window travels (I used a very thin layer of silicon grease), and just applied a light grease wherever I saw moving parts (although it is pre-greased from the manufacturer, it doesn’t hurt to recheck during installation. I think it might be about time for me to lube my windows again, but so far so good.
Original review (August 2016): Fits perfectly for my 2005 Honda Odyssey EXL driver’s side window. I did the replacement on my own following some video-based advice that I found on the web. I have been using it for the past few months and it works very well.

Based on your reviews, I bought and just installed this Dorman regulator. As a way of saying thanks I’d like to pass along these tips.
If after installing new regulator, if window seems to slow down in spots, it probably means the window has to be aligned. Loosen all 4 screws that hold the rail in place. Close window. Make sure it’s all the way up. Tighten screws. This will align rail.
For all those who said AUTO UP/DOWN doesn’t work, this is not Dorman’s fault. You have to bring vehicle to dealer. The mechanic will preform a procedure: Resetting the Power Window Control Unit. Basically telling onboard computer that new window motor has been installed. When finished AUTO UP/DOWN will work again.
