I put this in a friend’s 1998 Toyota Sienna after the key started getting really loose in the ignition. It didn’t take long to change, and you can’t beat Amazon’s price. Plus its Standard Ignition quality, which I always love. Overall a great buy for a quality product.

Ignition on my old 2000 Toyota Sienna would just lock up like crazy and it’d take me 15-20 minutes to finally turn the key. I got fed up with it and decided to replace the ignition lock cylinder myself and ordered this product. It came in the mail within 2 days and within 15 minutes I was done replacing my old ignition lock cylinder. Everything runs smoothly now and the product is very sturdy. Just make sure to keep your old key with you for opening up doors and etc. You’ll have a new key for your ignition that comes with this product and you’ll need your old key for everything else. I guess if you wanted to use 1 key for both things you’d need to go to a locksmith.

After having problem with my 2000 Toyota Sienna Ignition key I replaced it with this Standard Motor Products US253L Ignition Lock Cylinder. After watching you tube video how to do this, was very easy to replace. It took me only 5 minutes.

Local dealer wanted to charge over $300 for this lock with installation.
I did it myself in 15 min. for a total of $65
what more can be said. This is a five star purchase!

This cylinder was to replace one in a 1998 Toyota Sienna that locked up and didn’t turn. As long as you can turn the key to the ACC you do not have to remove the entire steering column. Just remove the panel under the steering, press a button, slide it out and slide in the new one. Works perfectly.
