My lawnmower was a hr216 and the driveshaft was discontinued so I bought this one. It was too long so I cut it down and it worked just fine.

This was going on a 27 year old Honda 215 industrial model
The female spline had to be shortened 5/8” and the male spline 1/2”
That was the best option for an obsolete part but works fine
