It does self prime but the ad states it can be mounted up to 50″ above the tank for diesel. Not. Have a Mr. Gasket that I thought was too slow and this is way slower. Pump is mounted on top of the tank and pushing uphill about 2.5′ over about 7′

Noisy when fuel is low , but works very well
Just My Opinion –
Replaced Edelbrock 17301 on 194 Chevy with Rochester 1 barrel. Quieter than Edelbrock. Lower pressure (1.5-4 psi vs 4-7 psi) is better suited to a 1 barrel carb. With either pump, a rubber / foam insulator between studs (under pump) is recommended to reduce buzzing noise / vibration.

Perfect little pump, works like a charm and very quiet. Very nice product.

Used this to replace a weak fuel pump used on the Onan Marquis 7,000 generator in my motorhome. This (along with a new carburetor) seems to have done the trick. It’s made in the U.S. (shocker!) and seems to be a quality product. One tip: If you’re having vapor lock problems, move the fuel pump closer to the fuel tank. This reduces the low pressure areas in the fuel line and thus raises the temperature at which the fuel vaporizes.

Good value for the price. I have a IH v8 engine that is carb’d and this keeps enough pressure to quickly prime the carb, and seems to now prevent my vapor lock issue on hot days idling in traffic.

Only made 2 psi guess it does what it says but really wish it was close to 4. After installing it probably going to have to get a different one

This pump is not only for cars, trucks, boats and generators. I replaced the fuel pump on my 1988 Honda vt1100c shadow cruiser with this pump. My bike needed a pump with 2-3 psi. This pump got better reviews than the cheap replacements on the internet. NOT ONLY FOR THE VEHICLES LISTED IN THE AD. WORKS WITH BIKE TOO

Top quality

Used on a 72 triumph spitfire. Works perfectly. Replaced original mechanical pump. I couldn’t use the filter that came with it due to space issues where I mounted it. Great pump!
