I do a lot of dusty off-roading in my 2017 Jeep JKU, and frequent filter replacement is a must. I was very pleased with the construction of the A-Premium Store air filter as it fit perfectly in my Jeep. Read on for our impressions when installing the air filter.
— FILTER IS IDENTICAL TO OEM: The A-Premium Store filter is identical to the Jeep JKU 3.6L Engine Air Filter.
— GASKET FITS SNUGLY: The rubber gasket around the outside of the filter fits snugly in the air box housing and seals so the air is directed through the air filter pleats.
— GENERIC INSTRUCTIONS: The instructions provided with the filter are generic and dont really help for a Jeep JKU.
— EASY INSTALLATION: The air filter replacement is easy, but gone are the days of spinning off a wing nut over the carberator. Remove the two 10mm bolts as shown in the picture and unsnap four clasps around the air box to be able to open the air box and, remove the old filter and slide in the new filter. Be aware that there is an orientation to the filter indicated by a tab on the corner of the filter that should be placed on the rear-passenger side of the air box. See the attached picture.
— GREAT VALUE: at about $8 for a single filter these are about 33% less cost than name-brand filters.
CONCLUSION: Highly recommended, 5 Stars.

Slightly thicker than the OEM, but otherwise nearly indistinguishable.
Will update my review at the next oil/filter change if necessary, but no noticeable difference after installation.

You know if you take your wrangler off road that frequent intake filter changes are a good idea. I can’t get my cabin air filter to get dirty, but my engine intake air filter does get quite dirty fairly quickly. The fitment of this filter is good, the media, number of pleats and depth of pleats are closet to eom than other generics/third party filters I have purchased. I have no testing equipment to check airflow but I notice no change in engine response.
Given there are two in this pack these are a very good value.

Top notch packaging, the box itself came in plastic and the filter was completely sealed in a plastic as well. I really liked that the filter was in a sealed bag as this was a 2 pack and one will sit on my shelf for awhile until used and my shop is dirty with a lot of dust.
Fitment was perfect I had no issues with the filter fitting into the airbox housing on my 2016 JKU
After install I seen no noticeable performance change in my Jeep, not that I was expecting a change.
In comparing this filter to other filters the rib count and general filter surface area appears to be similar to that of a Fram and possibly that of the OEM version. When compared to the WIX filter that was in my Jeep the WIX has about 20% more filter surface area as the WIX has more ribs. The WIX was also noticeably heavier and not because it was dirty or wet but I assume largely because their is more filter media. I can’t comment on the type of media used
My overall thought is this, for the cost especially the 2 pack pricing this is a very reasonably priced filter of good quality. If I lived in a very dusty area such as the desert, traveled a lot of gravel roads or ran my jeep offroad in the sand I would elect for a filter with more surface area but for most people this filter will do everything it needs to do and is a heck of a lot cheaper than other comparable filters.
