Okay so here’s the deal. I had gotten my oil changed and of course the technician came out and showed me my air filter. Sure it looked kinda dirty but it didn’t look THAT bad. Anyways, they wanted $40 to change it and thinking to myself there’s no way it’s that expensive on line I’ll just do it myself. So after several no thank yous he left me alone and I got my car back. I went home and pulled up my favorite on line shopping site and picked the one that had some good reviews and seemed none too expensive. I get it a couple days later and pulled up a you tube video and easy peasy changed out the filter no problemo. And I have to admit the old compared to the new was VERY different – it was pretty dirty after all. Anyways, I take the car for a spin and I think I’m imagining things because the car seems to accelerate better than before. Am I crazy? Hysterical? Nope. Who knew that the car needed clean air to operate??? I am now and forever going to check my filters regularly and with living in the Arizona desert with dust storms galore I’m an idiot for not doing it sooner. I’ve apologized to Wanda my faithful Honda and promised to keep the clean air flowing.

The place where I get my oil changed has been telling me for months but I need to replace my air filters but I didn’t want to spend an exorbitant amount of money to have them do something I could very easily do myself. I’m happy that I finally bought these filters because the ones that I was replacing were absolutely disgusting. If I didn’t know better I would’ve thought the filters were supposed to be black. This filter came very quickly and seems to be a great quality. It fits perfectly in my 2007 Honda Civic. This is the first time that I ever replaced and air filter on a car and I will always do it myself from now on it’s incredibly easy. There is even a little diagram on the back of the box that shows you exactly what to do, no tools are required and even a beginner car person can figure this out in no time. It literally took me a minute to replace the filter. Do yourself a favor and pick one of these up your car will thank you.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. It’s MUCH easier/cheaper and probably better quality to DIY since you’re the one taking care of it. This product is decent, but if you’re expecting a perfect fit like the OEM, look elsewhere. Don’t get me wrong, it gets the job done, it works, it can fit, but the enclosure doesn’t sit perfectly snug into the air filter casing. It’s not going to rattle around and whatnot, but it’s not the same exact size so thus feels a little smaller than the OEM. It’s still a solid product and since the dealership/repair shops charge you $50-60+, it’s better to DIY.

Fits my 2010 Honda Civic perfectly. Takes all of 5 minutes to install. You just pop the hood and unclip the plastic casing, then remove the old filter and install the new one and clip the plastic casing back on.
