Great cable, good quality, and connects with my EB3A by Bluetti via the intrinsic DC7909 connector. The cable also includes an adapter from 7909 male to DC8020 male which is nicely attached via rubber tether. The adapter sits very firmly and securely (actually it’s a bit tough to get it to set—which is a good thing!). The cigarette lighter end of the cord has a little red power light. It includes 2 extra fuses (plus the one installed) which I attached with a tiny zip tie.

This is a very well built cable, with many advantages. First, it is 14AWG, and very thick and well protected. Other alternatives are often 16AWG, and not as thickly covered. This is also highly bend resistant and should hold up a long time. It has a converter plug which gives it the versatility to plug into a wide variety of power stations. It is fused (15 amp according to the displays, 5 amp in the bulleted write-up, which I think is a mistake). Unlike most other alternatives, it has an elbow shaped insert plug which should further protect against broken cords due to bending. Finally, it had very little drop in voltage from a 30 watt solar panel to the cigarette lighter plug. This can be converted into a 12 volt battery power source by adding a female cigarette plug with battery connectors to a straight wire end and insert those into the input ports of a solar charger controller/regulator. Added to all of these, this is a great buy compared to alternatives.

Now I can also charge my Grecell power supply with my car which will further extend the power supply’s usefulness. Daily charges while driving can provide extended lighting and charging of other devices such as cell phones, MP3 players, laptops and so on. Seems particularly useful in places where a standard outlet is too far away to charge the power supply, such as while camping, on a jobsite or similar.
SIDE NOTE: Recently I read that many cars are no longer being equipped with cigarette lighters or even same-shaped accessory ports. My ten year old Subaru has the same-shaped accessory ports without the glowing hot cigarette lighter component. I don’t smoke however I’ve used the accessory ports to plug in a heated lunchbox (foil wrapped grilled cheese on the side of the road!) and I know there are also refrigerated coolers that use the same socket.
I’m glad that my car has the proper accessory port to allow me to charge my power supply while driving. Should this have been provided with my original purchase of the power supply? Probably not, because cars are starting to trade out the high ampere accessory ports for more conveniently place USB ports and a few vehicles are even including standard USA household 120VAC NEMA 5-15 outlets in their vehicles. I guess it is standardization, which I believe does make more products more useful for more people.
SUMMARY:
This automotive accessory socket adapter cable appears to be a good addition to my power supply kit. My rating for this item is 3.0 Stars which means that within the scope of my use during a trial period this appears to be an average item that performs as it should. 3.0 Stars is not meant to be a bad rating, it means that this item does not exceed expectations nor does it fail. This looks and feels very well-made, but the connector is apparently incompatible with the GZ Yeti 400 Lithium — with it plugged into my 12V outlet in the truck (and the red light of the plug on), the Yeti never sees any input. I confirmed that it charges normally from the standard cable.
On closer examination, power is at the connector and pin/sleeve diameter appear fine. But the molded collar is preventing it from being inserted far enough to make contact. I suspect this will work with many other models (and includes an adapter) but for the original Goal Zero Yeti 400 Lithium it does not seem to be compatible.
Giving 3 stars as a nod to overall quality feel — check reviews for specific model compatibility.

I got this car charger cable thinking that I could use some of the other adapters that I have if it didn’t fit either of my generic power stations. It didn’t fit either of them and none of the adapters I have fit the plugs. I still gave it four stars as it is well made of heavy gauge wire, solid, and appears that it will last a while. Overall, it’s a solid charging cable that would be a great choice if you have one of the units that is listed in the ad that it’s compatible with. I will keep looking for other adapters so I can use it.

I’m an outdoor enthusiast, so I purchased this 14AWG car charger cable. The compatibility of this charger is simply amazing! It not only supports a variety of models in the Jackery Explorer series, but also covers high-power power stations from well-known brands like Anker, BLUETTI, GRECELL, and Goal Zero. It can even fit some niche brands and models. The addition of the DC 7909 to 8020 adapter further expands its compatibility range. Whether it’s portable power stations from brands like BALDR, PAXCESS, Geneverse, ExpertPower, MAXOAK, or Westinghouse, as long as they have a DC 8mm input port, they can be easily matched. Safety is one of the most important considerations for outdoor trips, and the safety performance of this charger really puts my mind at ease. It has a built-in replaceable 15A fuse that provides overload, short-circuit, and overheat protection. When there is a malfunction with the device or the charger, the fuse will automatically disconnect and cut off the power supply, protecting my devices from damage. With this multi-layer protection mechanism, I don’t have to worry about safety issues at all when using it.
