Most of the wires on this adapter do not line up with Dodge factory. Also this era of Dodge does not use a 12 volt accessory it has a 5 volt therefore you will need a low voltage activated relay and the tool to remove pins out of the plug to change their locations.

Even though the product says compatible with 2005 dodge dakota it’s not because the wire layout is all wrong in order to get it to work you would have to jump the power wire and the auxiliary wire together but thr unit would have to remain on will not buy again
