The kit includes valve body components and modifications designed to deliver short smooth shifts as well as a better TCC apply. There are several innovative components in this kit. For instance, our line-to-converter feed system which helps the unit run cooler and promotes longer TCC clutch life. Also included is a TransGo pioneered manual valve to reduce overnight forward and reverse delayed engagement complaints due to torque converter drain back. Lastly, this kit can be installed with the transmission in the truck.

I called TranStar lap a message with the manager one of the sales reps letting them know that they sent me a ship kit that somebody there had opened the bag with their finger and removed the big yellow spring The third fourth accumulator spring which is very common for the 46RE transmission spring to be broke this kit only had nine parts in it and I don’t wanna stand why they don’t check their stuff before they send it out I have text customer service at Amazon I have talk to the automated customer service and as of two weeks to date no one has contacted me this truck was my transportation why they couldn’t just send the spring out did they robbed out of my kit these people rip me off I was going to purchase two different rebuild kits for transmissions but I’ll be damn if I buy anything from you again or Amazon because Amazon let y’all rip me off so I can give y’all zero feedback don’t buy from these people they’re crooks customer service yeah right

Not the easiest thing to install, you should have decent mechanical ability if you are going to do it yourself….not impossible, but not a simple task and I’ve been wrenching on cars for decades. Take your time, pay attention to detail, label things, use a torque wrench and work in a clean organized area and you’ll be fine. Once installed, you’ll be glad you did the work. Night and day difference in how my truck drives now. Firmer shifts (but not uncomfortably so), better shift points, fluid to the converter in park, etc…just like they say.

Very easy to install during a rebuild except for drilling the secondary shaft for OD clutch cooling. You will need carbide bits to do that part correctly. I built this trans stock except for this kit. I did everything according to the instructions to create the “firmist” shift possible. It is very firm. I like it. My only “bitch” would be the part throttle shift is also “very firm”! I consider it a small price to pay for a longer living trans.

Pretty easy to follow the instructions after reading them a few times.
Take lots of pictures before and during disassembly.
I used a large plastic tub for mixing concrete to work on the valve body in. They are cheap at the big box stores. This will save you from losing small parts as you are working in the tub and wont lose springs and balls.

Installed this kit in my 2000 wj and made a big difference on shifting also did the billet accumulators as well with new overdrive housing from mopar made big diffrance back to how i like it
