Worthless! I tightened up this lug by hand and the threads stripped out. By hand!! I had purchased two but only needed one so I figured maybe the one was a fluke. Second lug stripped out by hand also. Pure junk, don’t waste your money or time with this garbage!

These things are a BEAST!!! perfect for the job they’ll be doing for me. They are pretty much failure-proof, providing you do your own installation correctly.

They seem really well made. They say they are cast copper not lead like most. Make sure you get the correct size for the wire you need. I couldn’t get the one on the ground side to work, cause the wire was too small for the compression fitting. The ground wire was smaller than the positive, and that’s what I went off for ordering. I ended up just sticking the wire in and filling it full of solder. Works great so far.

Nice product but it’s very bulky in size.

This is the positive terminal. It is a different size. I ordered both pos and neg. They are not the same size.
Its a little pricey but I believe the quality is there. I looked at all the other aftermarket sound system connectors. I wanted something that was solid but most of them just have you insert wire and screw down a ‘set screw’ as a fastener. That seemed pretty flimsy in my opinion. Given no reviews but a fairly simple design i decided to pony up for these. After I installed them per instructions, which btw are the smallest instructions i believe one could print, I did my best to get them loose. Nothing. I topped them off with some electrical tape to seal them up. The pos, this one, nor the neg are color labeled. They do have a (+) and a (-) where that black strip is on the terminal so red electrical tape for this one will make easily identifying the pos convenient. From the post you gain about 1/2″ net length by using these. You put the wire inside so you’ll lose most of what looks to be gained but overall expect about 1/2″.
Unlike other Battery terminals that use a compression type fastener to hold the cable this one does NOT have a needle in the middle. It is just a cavity that it screws into. I’m sure someone out there will appreciate knowing that.
Installation is simple: Cut back about 3/4-1″ of insulation, insert into compression screw and fully seat the screw into the terminal. Then just use a 10mm? i think it is to fasten the connector to the post. As you can tell you dont need two wrenches. This is nice.

I installed these on my 2000 Ford Explorer, they replaced some cheap auto store terminals I had. I replaced my old auto craft battery with a motorcraft battery, so I wanted my terminals to match in terms of quality. These are far better than the style that hold down the wires with two bolts. I also expected the metal to deform like the auto store brand terminals do when you tighten the bolts down, but to my surprise, the metal stayed intact under a lot of pressure, so I know it’s high quality. They fit well on my cables, except for the chassis ground cable, which I had to strip off twice the recommended length of wire, then fold in half to get it to fit within the 2/0 gauge lug. But that’s my problem as I ordered a 2/0 gauge lug for an 8 gauge wire. I paired these with the Military Spec Battery Terminal and Cover Kit and they work great. Much better than the auto store setup I had. A new battery and new terminals make a huge difference.

Good terminals, easy to assemble and install… only con it’d designed to use with single cable systems… would recommed if that is your case..

The terminal end of my negative cable came right off the wire at -40 below zero here in Alaska. I didn’t want to undertake a full cable replacement out in the elements and have never been a fan of the bolt clamp terminal ends. I see them purely as a temp fix till I can replace the cable. A waste of money in the end.
I ordered this screw compression terminal end from Amazon, had it at my door in a 3 days and installed in maybe 15 minutes. The biggest time sink was stripping some of the heavy wire in the cold. I simply threaded the back nut onto the wire till the wire was going all the way to it tip, then threaded on the terminal with a box wrench and a screw driver.
The two pieces went together easy enough, took some minimal effort to keep it from moving forward at first, but clamped down soon enough. A third hand would have been helpful for a minute or two. I did notice some metal peeling as I threaded the two pieces together. I don’t see this as reusable or removable. But a one time seat that is a long term fix. I don’t plan to change the cable. It feels very solid and tight, and my battery has a good ground. Truck fired right up.
I will not hesitate to purchase this brand of terminal end again in the future if I find myself in a similar situation.
