Received the filter VF2056 and noticed the rubber frame is already torn at the front. There is also a hole at the side exposing a small part of the metal mesh edge.
I have made order for another 1 and hopefully is not another defect item. Will update my rating again after amazon refunds me and depend on the 2nd filter’s condition.
Edited : returned 1st item and received my refund from amazon. Received 2nd item in good condition. Yet to install in car since current paper filter only been used for 3000+km. Will update in future.

I ordered this washable filter because a friend recommended the company and their product AND i could never find the OEM Mazda cabin filter for my car anywhere. Upon receipt of the filter, i went to the car and promptly removed everything from the glove box, took out the old filter and inserted this one. it fit but there was not enough of the filter edge to close the gap and it was missing the lower tab (one on top and bottom) to fit into the frame to make it snug. The description does say MAZDA (with 3 included with 6 and CX-5) but apparently not the right filter. Went to K&N website to check and the model should be VF2074 which this is not, so the description is off. I went to Amazon and sent in for a return and ordered the Model #VF2074. That model arrived but is missing the plate that will seal the the space in front where you insert the filter. As a matter of fact this new filter came in a nondescript bag and no K&N box at all, missing the directions and everything. Unbelievable. I called K&N and they are sending me the sealing plate to by Fedex for free so i didnt have to return this unboxed item. Kudos to K&N with great customer service!!!

After going to the dealer for some service I was informed that my cabin air filter needed replacing and they wanted an absurd $90 for a new cabin air filter with installation. I refused and ended purchasing this and installing it myself. The install was very easy and took a couple of minutes compared to the other vehicles I own. The overall quality is way better than the oem one which feels like paper. Another great product from K&N.

So I have had this cabin air filter for almost two months now. I have seen complaints about the smell of the filter and I have no clue what other reviewers are talking about. I have not noticed any odor from the filter from out of the box to present day. The filter definetly does the job and is super easy to clean. This was installed in my 22 mazda cx5 with ease. 5 out of 5 definetly recommend. Stop buying disposable cabin air filters, it’s a waste of cash. I’m confident you will be happy with this purchase
