Hard to say anything other than that it fits my 2015 Ford escape, and seems to do its job. One thing I noticed is that it’s a little more rigid than the OEM filter, so it took a little more force to get it in housing. Overall, seems like a fine product for the price.

It’s a little tricky to install in my car but that’s not the filter’s problem. It fits perfectly and I’m assuming it works but that’s hard to tell.

I noticed a few summers ago that my car smelled moldy and musty, especially on rainy and/or hot and steamy days. I could not find the source of the smell. I had the car detailed, it gets regular maintenance…just could not figure out where it was coming from and didn’t want to pay through the nose to have someone take it apart on a day when I could smell it. It was bad enough that I would cringe upon opening the door and I worried that I was actually inhaling mold or something which would hurt my lungs. I limped along with various odor-removing products for the past few years, trying in vain to get rid of the smell.
Then, a friend of mine suggested I change out the cabin air filter. She did hers herself, easy-peasy, just opened a door at the back of her glove compartment, slid out the old one, and slid in the new one. Alas, my car’s cabin filter changing process was a bit more involved, but I got it done and WHOA. I’m not sure if that filter had ever been changed in the last 10 years of service. It was YUCKY (see pic).
I drove the car 2 days after I replaced the filter and I could still smell the musty-moldy smell, but not as much. In the coming 2 weeks (I usually only drive on the weekends) I noticed a gradual reduction of the smell. By the 3rd weekend, after lots of AC and blower use (it was summer) it was gone. It’s been a month now, and there is no trace of the smell.
I’m so thankful for my friend’s recommendation, and that I could just DIY the solution.

So the installation is slightly annoying because I hadn’t done it before. What worked for me was putting the top in first at an angle then straightening it out as your putting the bottom in. From there it actually slides in pretty easily I hadn’t installed one before so it was slightly annoying because it was hard to see and I couldn’t originally tell the top wasn’t going in. Once I figured out what was going in it went in pretty easily. It does its job from there so everything is good.
